If you’ve noticed tangerine clothes, bags and even shoes in all the shopping malls and boutiques this spring, you’re not alone.  Pantone has officially named Tangerine Tango it’s “color of the year.”    “Sophisticated but at the same time dramatic and seductive, Tangerine Tango is an orange with a lot of depth to it,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®.

The home design industry takes it cues from fashion so if your style is more Palm Beach than California cool, be a trendsetter and try styling your home with a splash of tangerine mixed with pink or aqua.

If that’s not daring enough, it’ll get hot in the kitchen with one of KitchenAid’s colorful line of appliances including their tangerine toaster or mixer, also available in a rainbow of colors.

Tangerine and aqua are on opposite sides of the color wheel and make a nice couple indoors or outside.
