Bamboo, rattan and all things woven are making a comeback from the 70s.  But we’re not talking about mixing it with Carol Brady’s wood paneling or her green and plaid furniture.  An interesting pendant lamp above the kitchen counter, bamboo headboards with colorful linens in the kids’ bedroom, a few finely woven dining chairs or even some ottomans casually stacked on top of each other can instantly transform your home into a beachy retreat.

Natural fiber pieces also work well outdoors.  Use the ottoman as extra seating or as a small table.

Try hanging a chair swing with a colorful pillow in your backyard or under a deck.
